Lake District

The main room is a delightful and very comfortable open-plan sitting room, fitted kitchen and dining area. There's a fantastic view from the picture window over the Cartmel valley to the south-east. It's very cosy, with a heated towel rail for kitchen cloths &c. and two large radiators.
Living area
Furnished with two 2 seater sofas, a bookshelf with various games and books, a nest of tables, CD/radio and freesat colour TV and DVD player. There's an open fire with Lake District slate hearth and locally-felled oak mantelpiece, polished timber floor and rugs. Guests can regulate the heating themselves using the room thermostat in the Living Room
Kitchen and dining area
A pleasant, open plan kitchen makes the daily round of housekeeping a pleasure as everything is to hand, be it for a quick snack, preparations for a picnic or a gourmet evening meal for newly made friends.

  • Food processor
  • Dishwasher
  • Larder fridge

Utility Room
In the utility room there's a freezer, washer / dryer and microwave. Also there is the cleaning cupboard with all the utensils and tools you might need on your stay, including iron and board, vacuum cleaner, clothes basket and pegs. There is a drying rack both inside in the Utility room and outside in the garden. The Utility Room has a quarry tile floor to cope with all that equipment and boots needed for holidays in the Lake District.
Inside the cleaning cupboard is a time controller for the central heating system. Although the heating is on a preset cycle, guests can have heating outside those times by using the time controller at any time.
